4 Unwanted Lessons from 2020

Yes, 2020 was a shitty year, but I’ve survived

While I’m not exactly grateful for most of the 2020 lessons or how they were delivered, it’s right to say I have learned a few things about myself and my business.

1. It’s cool to overcome your limits, but it’s better if you’re not forced into it

Last year gave a new meaning to multitasking. Between homeschooling, cooking, laundry, and being a freelance content marketer, I found my abilities can be stretched and folded better than slime.

It didn’t feel right, though. Even if you have a sort of sick satisfaction at the end of the day, having done it all becomes a burden hard to carry after several days. And you get tired. It can work for a week or two, but turning this into “normality” is insane.

Okay, I managed to juggle kids, house, and work, but it doesn’t mean I should keep doing it. I’m the only one to decide what limits I want to overcome and how I’ll do it.

It’s a lesson to remember for both personal and professional life situations—first the mindset shift, then the stretch.

2. Knowing when to ask for help is the greatest soft skill
