I’ll want to remember this day. The day I’ve changed my life. So, here I am, writing just for the sake of it.

Background story: I’ve just spent over $2,500 on a training program meant to turn me from a part-time freelance writer into a business owner and help me grow professionally.

In most uncomplicated words possible, I have no idea what I’m doing. But I’m confident in my skills, and I’m optimistic about my odds of making this happen. And it’s all because the value I got until now from the person who built this program alone is enough to help me evolve and get better at what I do. I’m sure things will only get better from now on.

Yes, giving value pays off. And as I’ve just learned while enrolling in this new adventure, you can never give too much for free.

It’s a valuable lesson in B2B content marketing.

If you feel that you’re putting too much on the table but don’t see the ROI you’ve expected, don’t pull off the offer. Instead, change the way you give value to make it easier for people to understand what’s in there for them.

Your eBook, checklist, white paper, or any other content offer can and will bring in more leads. You need to set the right context for things to happen first.
